The aim of this study is to analyze the reliability of logistics transport at a recyclables company located in the city of Gravatá, Pernambuco. The analysis was carried out using data obtained from the 4th quarter of 2022, which identified flaws in the process related to mileage, inefficient truck maintenance and lack of route planning, impacting on consumer satisfaction. Combining this factor with the high level of competitiveness, there is a need to implement quality tools in the transport sector in order to minimize the occurrence of failures. In this context, the purpose of this work is to apply the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) technique to identify the main failures and improve the reliability of the transport logistics process in a recyclable materials company. This technique requires the implementation of methodologies and strategies such as RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) and Preventive Maintenance, which are capable of increasing productivity and guaranteeing the full operation of the transport logistics system. The results obtained by applying the FMEA show the importance of carrying out planned maintenance and how this can affect the planning of a sector that depends on delivery at the right time so as not to keep the customer waiting. Therefore, the actions generated were carried out, and the company's logistics sector made satisfactory progress, defining and standardizing route and mileage planning, improving maintenance control and reducing the costs and losses generated by breakdowns or emergency repairs. As a result, it has managed to increase the reliability of transport, guaranteeing a high level of logistical service for the company.
